Spelunky 2 cheats4/20/2024 ![]() ![]() You can cheat, you can also grind, and no matter if you're somewhat unskilled, if you have the knowledge you can beat the game. You can't cheat, you can't even grind, you need abnormal skills to unlock what you paid for. Only it gets quickly boring when you're replaying in the same 3 backgrounds, knowing there are 16 others that are out of reach. I don't care if I even die within the shortcut map itself, indeed it's part of the game. So if I'm not gonna see 3/4 of the game other than on Youtube, if a Spelunky 3 ever gets release, I'll go watch it straight on Youtube. I'm not gonna install a cheat engine for the reason that those things aren't simple apps, they mess too deeply with the system. I don't even remember how (NOT a cheat engine), but I did and it allowed me to see most of the game, which is why I bought this one. OUT OF 16.īut most importantly, I could cheat in Spelunky 1. I've finally unlocked the first shortcut, and I can play what 10% of players can: ONLY 4 PLACES AT BEST. It's 5% vs 2%, but still, to me it's not about completing the game, it's about seeing most of it. So this source probably reflects reality better: I don't know who to trust, probably not the Steam achievements because it's PC and you can cheat. Remember that Celeste doesn't block achievements if you use Assist so those statistics include people who use it. ![]() They can cheat and 92.3% of players still have not beaten that. And even with cheating, only 7.7% of the players have beaten Farewell. I would too only have been able to play a tiny fraction of the game without it. While horribly difficult, it allows for cheating, it's built-in and very helpful. Originally posted by PlayL4D2!:Celeste is a perfect example. A lot of helpful knowledge in there, but also a lot of harmful knowledge that is deeply rooted inside you. You only need the knowledge of the threats in the game.Īnother thing is: The game can feel a lot harder in some ways if you come from HD. You can beat the game with bad item rng and without a lot of skill. 10% of players have beaten the game in single player and without using shortcuts. Hard games tend to have that kind of clear rate and in the case of Spelunky 2, the base game is not that hard. Not limited to roguelikes, only 7.7% players have beaten Farewell in Celeste and I am surprised the number is that high. In fact, the hardest Spelunky 2 achievement has been cleared by 1.7% players while (Non-last-DLC) Necrodancer achievements go as low as 0.3% with the All zones Coda. Which is like the first character you do that with. ![]() In Necrodancer ONLY 4% has beaten the All Zones Mode with Cadence. Only around 25% players have seen the end-game credits in Hades, and Hades is on the easy side. That aside, 15% of players beating the game is not really a low number for a roguelike. In my current save I have not unlocked the last shortcut. It's not something wrong with players, it's something wrong with devs. Originally posted by PlayL4D2!:Looks like only 15% of players have completed the game, and only 40% have unlocked the first shortcut. Looks like only 15% of players have completed the game, and only 40% have unlocked the first shortcut. No need to buy it if I can't see it within the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game itself. If there's a Spelunky 3, I'll just go watch what it has to offer directly on Youtube. Would that really break the enjoyment for hardcore gamers? But yeah, for casual/sucky gamers like me, it will too be the first level a dozen times, and in some extremely rare cases I will stare at the graphics of level 5 before getting killed immediately.Īll it needed is a cheat option (and I don't mean a difficulty option because for these games easy means hard anyway). I get it that the game is about the perpetual gang bang, and I wouldn't mind (I was playing Rick Dangerous back then so I don't mind unfair) if at least the background was changing from time to time. I remember I cheated back then and that was my only chance to ever see the end, but I can't even find a cheat for this one. And I'm not even a casual gamer, I've played Spelunky 1 in both versions a lot, only I suck (because old). I'd love this game if it was friendly to casual gamers. ![]()
